Here we go again, people would try to save 10 bucks to buy a cheap filter when many owners have proven that they cant generate enough fuel pressure to run. duh

Did you knock a spark plug wire off?

One more thought, Pirhana... the TIIs have a dual-pressure fuel system. The pump should recieve a low voltage (9v) when not under boost, and recieve a high voltage (14v, ideally, more like 12v) under boost.

http://www.1300cc.com/howto/how2/rewire.htm gives fp rewiring instructions.

One more thing to think about...

First off, Tmak, you can keep your lame comments to yourself. I did not know that aftermarket filters were not as good as Mazda, who the hell would be cheap on 10 bucks when a car costs thousands of dollars? Does that make sense? Not really....

My spark plug wires are fine, and everything sounds ok anyway.

For fun on my way home today I let the rpms slowly climb up to the 3500 mark, and instead of seeing my A/F meter go up and down, it hit stoich and stayed there. I even gave it a tiny bit more gas and it was still ok (light load). This leads me to believe that it is a primary fuel injector, and I'm goign to go clean them.

No7, I actually rewired my fuel pump on Sunday, and voltage wise it is MUCH better. It wasn't too bad to do that, only took about 3 hours.

thanks for the HELPFUL comments guys...

Have you put a fuel pressure tester on the outlet of the fuel filter. So that the tester was the blocking the fuel from going to the injectors.
I believe 80psi approx is what you need.

Here is a link for my cheap fuel pressure tester. I know you have one but here is how I did mine for other folk.

yes, I had the tester on the inlet of where the fuel goes into the engine. Also.. the fuel pressure is supposed to be 34-39 psi according to the factory manual.

I cleaned the injectors (soaked) in Simple Green,, off of a "tip" from a friend, but it hasn't done anything.

Tomorrow I'm going to swap secondaries and primaries.
