Repairs after front end collision
Ok, i got hit head on in my 89 GXL at ~20. Basically just crushed the front passanger corner. Thankfully its just body damage, but due to the angle of the hit(hit AT the front passanger corner, aimed twords the drivers seat) the whole front bumper assembly, and a litltle other stuff has been shifted twords the drivers side of the car.
So right now, I have two issues that i'm trying to fix, and i was hoping some people might have suggestions for me. If pictures are needed i can borrow a digi-cam to make a few.
1) Fan is rubbing fan shroud. It looks like whatever the shroud is mounted to got shifted a little, but the shroud is pushed into the fan and it wont move. This is #1 problem because i can't drive the car like this. I thought an option would be to replace with e-fan, or just remove shroud(untill i can get e-fan). I'm not sure if its possible to bend everything back to orrigional shape which is why i'm thinking maybee e-fan. Suggestions?
2) Front drivers side wheel rubs when making right turns. I think this is again part of things being offset, but what can i do about this? Its rubbing into plastic, which is just covering metal. The fender on that side seems to have slight damage, but just slight bends. This is the side opposite the crash.
Any help is greatly appreciated, I hope to get my car running again soon.
Erik
