i'd like to see pics of the engine install and what was needed to make it work in the FC along with making the trans fit in a stock location. we also need to know what kind of an ecu or engine management system you are using. this info will not only satisfy the masses but may encourage other 7 owners to perform the swap.

The ports are operated by the PCM through electronic vaccum accuators. So as long as teh wiring is right, it shouldn't have a problem with ports.

Wow this has got a little out of hand lol but all good fun.... anyways apoligies for not replying to you all sooner.... finally finally getting the final tune done in a week or two (a year down the line of just driving her on the made throttle inlet!!!) to activate all the inlets & release the higher rpm power. As for power steering I got shot of that as it was too light for my liking & made life easier as you can imagine (but now thinking about putting it back n but some how just have it running at half power). I dont run a speedo cable as no point & isn't a legal requirement in the UK.

Car looks great in my opinion. I was just never a fan of having a spoiler on unless there is a reason.

congratulations on your conversion.

pay no mind to others who detract. it's a part of being on any board. at the end of the day, you've tried to build the car YOU want, and only YOU can judge the success or failure of it.

of what??

how you like the renesis compared to the 13b?
its so much more reliable in so many ways, seems to be problem free as well as for the last 2 years of driving it all i have had to do is change the coil packs as there way over due being done!! No real power difference to be honest.

spoiler is a bit of a marmite thing, some times i love it sometimes i hate.... so undisided on it!

nah i would rather it be on the front end of the car as the rx7's are very well balanced cars & want as light as rear end for when i take her out for a bit of drift fun but may well stow it in the passenger foot to tidy up the engine bay

Could you mount your battery in the original location if you pipe the intake filter over to the right side where the stock one goes?

I'm on the fence about the spoiler. I love the idea of the renesis in an FC, nice work.

I'm sure it gets better gas milage and emits less pollution, and you can wrap it to 9k rpm.

Nice job!

i had an 8 before (long story why i sold it) but yes comparing my S5 NA street ported motor, with after market header, exhaust, and intake it still did not make the kind of power that the 8 made and on top of that my 8 was stock, so this is a perfect swap for the N/A lovers once you get the tune perfect you will notice a difference.

oh yeah and people want to see a video the the car at at idle and reving it up and if possible some driving footage if you could post some for us.

No point doing that as its just gonna add more pipe work & a bigger bend in the pipe due to the angle the inlet throttle sits at, also i drive this car mainly on my own so battery being on the opposite side to me helps a little with balance.

Sure does!

any pics of the underside and how the engine mates to the cradle? any word on if the FE trans had to be modified in order to work properly with the FC?

awesome and very unique and your car looks better than 99 percent of most cars on this board. Great swap, would love to see what it would do with the other ports or whatever opening properly.

I'll have a dig around but pretty sure have no pre existing underside pictures, transmission wasn't much of a problem, everything is running of made up solid mounts, we have to shorten the drive shaft but apart from that not a great deal more.

would love to see what it would do with the other ports or whatever opening properly.
Tell me about it, can't wait should be going in soon!
