As much as I dreaded the job, it turned out to be quite worthwhile.
Not only was I able to clean up some wiring issues (and just clean the heater/AC ducting in general) but upon removal of the carpet I found several dollars in change and a million sunflower seeds.

How all that crap got under the carpet I can't imagine.

It also allowed me to confirm that the floorpans were as rustfree as I thought they looked from the underside.
I've seen some of the underside it looks pretty rust free. I'm REALLY bad so far with little screws and such and some are stripped and barealyl holding in (wasnt my fault dad removed stuff from the car and didnt put it back right) So I know theres screwes missing on the gauge cluster/switch area when I put it back I'm going to feel like its myfault.

Oh i found lots of change too looks like 5-10 bucks so far also found some green herb, cds, screwed for the doors from when my dad didnt put them back right.

Going good so far, I'm going to remove the radio now or vaccum I also took the front right speaker holder off, removed my pioneer speaker & spray painted it black (cars black interior) for somereason the bottom of the speaker holder shows under the dash/speaker grill cover. I used a heavy duity (liek a sharpy) to cover up the ugly grey color but this black will look much better!

i have run speaker wire, and amp wires to the back of the hatch and not unscrewing ANYHTING. Why are you gutting the car for speakers?

At least you got some change out of it, LOL

All you need to do is take the door trim peice off the bottom of the door, (the piece that says 'mazda' on it) and stuff the wires down the carpet.

i usually run both sides. you can run the amp wires down one side and speaker wires down the other, or just run left and righ trear speaker wires accordingly.
