removed rats nest, and car ran funny

87 tii
full exhaust
cone filter
ported waste gate
bov

Ok well I removed the rats nest and all the emissions. i left everything on the throttle body, and I added a 3" down pipe. so i got everything back together, just the down pipe on nothing else. So I wanted to start it up for a second and make sure everything was right, and I wanted to hear it with just down pipe.. so i cranked on it for about 20 seconds and it started, I was having to play with the throttle a lot to keep it going, and it had no ***** at all, I expected it to be loud and meaty with just down pipe but it was not, kind of sounded like a lawn mower, and I though something might be wrong, so i turned it off because i had a leak. Well I busted a bolt and i have to take the manifolds off again to fix it, so wile im takeing it apart does anyone know what would make it run like this?

and i need to make sure i have the vac lines right, i have one from
LIM to fuel rail.
pressure sensor to back of UIM(one of the 4 nipples back there)
and one from the left side of the UIM to my bov
and I ran a line from the oil feeler thing to the vent that’s by the bottom(sorry for lack of right terms)
am i missing any?

and for the oil injection i just used some bolts for the holes they left..

and there is only 2 sensors that i need to plug in right? Besides the injectors

also I took the twin scroll off.

All help is appreciated
Thanks in advance
scot

the vacuum port on the passenger side of the UIM is for the pressure sensor. install a TEE in the vacuum line for the BOV.

oh, and i hope you plan on running pre-mix.

You said you are "PLANNING" on running premix?!?! If you started the car, you better ALREADY be running premix!!!! 20 seconds of oil starvation and you have yourself a rebuild(trashed all internals) my friend! Get some 2-stroke in the tank NOW, and for the next start up put some oil in the spark plug holes / spin it in! Ahh!

And this is the vacuum setup you should have:

For a boost gauge / etc..you add an extra tee somewhere in that line, preferably on the MANIFOLD side for an accurate reading. You also need to retain the stock RESTRICTOR PILL on the pressure sensor line, NOT anywhere else in the line.

and does it matter what nipple the primary injector air bleed goes on, because i know there is 4 of them there, and can i hook my boost gauge to one of them also?

and what purpose does the restrictor pill serve?

Make sure the MAP sensor is connected to the bottom nipple on the rear of the UIM. The others do not see vacuum. Better still would be to feed if from somewhere closer to keep the line short. Teeing off the BOV line work okay, or you can fit a nipple to the AVC block-off plate like this.

Put it on the top one.

Only the bottom one, and only if you move your MAP sensor elsewhere.

and what purpose does the restrictor pill serve?
It stops pressure spikes reaching the MAP sensor and sending funny signals to the ECU. It was fitted in the line close to where if connected to the AVC. Hopefully you didn't throw it out...

Pre-throttle air is sucked throug the hose and passages at the injector base and mixes with the fuel leaving the injector, which improves its atomisation.
