Reliability of the 7

Ive been looking really hard at rx7s around and whenever I talk to someone about em they say theyre unrealiable. Now I hear from you guys that they're reliable as most other Japanese Cars. (N/A)

I can't wait to get a car when I get my license in March but I don't want to be spending my money and all my time working on my car. I dont mind a few repairs once in a while but I need it to work .

Are these accusations of the Rx7 true? Or are they just idiots who don't understand the rotary engine? If they ARE unreliable I don't want one.

If not taken care of they can be THE most unreliable car there is. Now if taken care of properly they can be very reliable. Best bet is to find one with a new or rebuilt engine to start with or with a blown engine so you can have it rebuilt. That way you can maintain it the right way and have it last for a long time to come.
