Is the slave cylinder and release cylinder the same thing?

If not, where is the slave. I know where the Master and release are.

Thnx,

the slave is on top of the tranny......it looks like the attached file.

The slave could be called the release I suppose...but I've always known it as the slave - it does the master's bidding!!

Ok, THANKS a lot. The manual calls it the release cylinder. Your picture helped a lot. Thanks. Anyone know where I can get one and how much they are. By the time this is answered, I will already know problaby, but you can answer anyway.

Thanks,
Alex

P.S. The reason I am asking is because my clutch is acting funny. It tends to stick to the floor. I bled it completely, and it feels though it is a bit leaky inside. There are no visible leaks, so I think I need to replace either the slave or the master. anyone have any ideas?

Pepboys, Autozone, Carparts.com, Steve's Foreign Auto Parts on Vickery.

IF you paid over forty five bucks plus tax you paid too much. Rebuild kits are about fifteen bucks.
