regrounding

Not sure about a TII... but with my N/A... Ya gotta take off the VDI (or exten) manifold to see the rear rotor ground.
So for my grounding... I was going to buy some 10 gauge wire, run a wire straight from the neg batt terminal to the: rear rotor ground, firewall, starter... where else? Thought about running smaller gauge wire to some of the more vital sensors.... so If I ground the rear rotor good, I shouldn't have to worry about the ECU correct?
I was trying to diagnose some electrical problems.... and wasn't really sure about how many grounds there are in the wiring harness. I really wish the entire electrical wiring was included in the FSM. It can be complicated as hell sometimes.
I was seeing upto 400 ohms resistance between certain grounds in the harness and the neg batt terminal. I hope to get that down pretty low

Hondahater, it sounds like maybe a PO removed that OEM ground for some reason if you can't find it, because you can't miss it with the UIM off. In that case, check near your ECU, as someone might have already grounded all the wires near there previously...Check the wiring coming from the pins on the ECU that Hailers posted above, see if they actually ground somewhere near the ECU, instead of being routed up the harness to that rear rotor housing spot...

well I just checked for those grounds and there where none. So I made my own on the second wire and the last on top of the small connector all the way to the left, this however did nothing. I also changed fuel filters and again nothing! I'm going to go by the parts store to see if they have the fuel filter that is on the fuel pump. after this I guess I'm going to have take out the injectors and see if they are clean (even though the 720 secondaries are new) I still don't understand how I could have fucked this up by just taking the tb off

Dude, it's probably just a simple vac leak...Did you use new gaskets, or at the very least use a gasket sealer when you went back together with everything?
Also note that if you have a T2, your ECU pinout might be different from mine, so those pin #'s I gave on that other post you pulled up might be wrong. If you have one, please refer to the FSM wiring manual BEFORE you go grounding things, or you just might make matters worse...

Use it wherever you think there is a leak. Honestly I dont think there could be a leak tb to uim. There is no gasket only that plastic spacer. For the tmic inlet to tb just make sure all your hose clamps are tight.

If all else fails, take everything back apart exactly as you did the first time, and reinstall with a THIN coat of gasket maker or RTV on every surface that has a gasket. That should take care of any self-induced vac leaks once and for all, then we can go off in another direction if you're still having problems...

Lol... man I really need to get some gasket maker. I've taken my complete intake manifolds off atleast 5 times in the past month... still using the same gaskets with no silicone.

ok well I've officially tried everything and nothing has worked.
1. regrounded everything
2. new fuel filter
3. new fuel pump strainer
4. put gasket maker around turbo inlet to tb
If there is anything else I can try please let me know. I'm going to get an ohm meter today to find out what is going on with the secondary injectors. I'm going to test it with the key to the on posision and then try it again while driving. If the secondaries are not comming on what is the culprit?? Oh and can I disconnect my pressure sensor to see if anything happens??? Also I think it is worse when I first run it. Of course I wait for it to warm up to normal riding temps and then I get on it. The couple of times it is really bad the other times its still there but it's not like hitting a brick wall. Thanks. oh and a side note how much boost can 720cc injectors support??? Today I got close to 15psi

ok well I added a ground from the battery to chasy(sp) also made new grounds for pressure sensor, alternator, the two wires going to the left small connector on the ecu and also the leading coil. I didn't clean any of the old ones however. I would like to clean the main one that is on the trany just can't find it. Wouldn't the grounds I added be enough??? Also I've got coils from msd on order that are comming in the next couple of days so this will eliminate the front coils (witch I was going to do anyways) and I really don't think this is it at all, infact I know its not because after the bog I have plenty of power. anyways like I said I'm going to get an ohm meter and will me ohming them out tomorrow.

and last post for the night, I just did the grounding and it still doing the same thing. Right when the car is pushing you head back into the seat (part I like most) it bogs down and backfires. Like I said before I drove it more tonight for about 15 to 20 minutes and it gets better when hotter but its still there and still bucks and backfires.
