Regrounded Everything.
I regrounded everything, my ECU, from my alternator to the battery, from the battery to the chasis, the transmission to the chasis and from the Intake to the chasis. I noticed the car runs a bit better. But I'm still getting the 3800 hesitation. Also, my lights still dim when I hit the breaks, I was under the impression that this would fix the problem. I went through all the grounding threads I could find, the only other spots I are the coils, and I don't want to ground those because of the rumors of loosing power. So what other options do I have? Anyone else ground, and not have their hesitation fixed? Thanks. Sorry in advance if this is a repost of some sort.

For your hesitation check out your AFM connection and clean it, from your sig it appears you have a K&N, and when they are freshly oiled the oil will get in the connector and cause hesitation. As for the power loss, teh S4 alt teh suxors!

for the hesitation - Check the TPS adjustment, clean the fuel injectors, check the plugs and wires. how old is the O2 sensor
for the headlights dimming- how old and what kind of battery do you have. replace both the battery cables. Run a diagnostic on the alternator, make sure it is out putting to spec

Hesitation fixed? Well I stumbled on to a ghetto way of fixing my hesitation. I was pondering why my 3800 hesitation was still around, even after I regrounded everything. Then I remembered my idle problem from when I first bought the car. I use to have a horrible idle due to a vacume hose being unplugged, and I cannot recall having this hesitation problem when I first bought the car. So I unplugged the hose, and low and behold my hesitation was gone. However my idle is just a little jumpy, not to bad though. So, I guess i can just cap the vacume hose off. But, does anyone know what the source of the problem could be? The vacume hose I removed was behind the intake, connected to a plastic piece which connects one of the two vacume hoses I removed. Comments Suggestions!!! plz

maybe im wrong cuz ive never had this hesitation prob but from reading threads i thought the hesitation quirk was an injector problem from when the secondaries start idk just thought id throw it out good luck to u

if you capped it off and the car runs fine, cap off the end on the UIM too and it should fix your jumpyness.
Can you show us a picture of the vacuum line that you capped?

I was reading this whole thing for the first time in a while, and was gonna say something along the lines of what Hailers said a couple of posts up- whatever you did, you affected the vac "pressures" that the boost/ pressure sensor sees, in this case, in a good way, I guess...With that line connected, the ECU is not seeing the numbers it wants to from the pressure sensor to fire up those secondaries, but with the line disconnected, it is...Very interesting...

How could adding ground wires to the coil affect performance negatively? They are already grounded, you would just be lowering the resistance even more which = good.
