I shudder to think how much money I've thrown down the pit on my current project .
You always have to remember that you do this because you're passionate about the car - this is far from a sound financial decision. There's no way you could ever recoup or gain money.

I maxed out a gold card converting my 'vert to a 13BT and all the assorted stuff.
My wife hated that I even brought it home at first, (I think the inch of water sloshing around the floor and carpet and the tri color paint were the sore points) now she want to go for a drive every weekend.
The investment thing has never worked for me.. she knows its just my toy. The only thing that seems to work is that it gets better mileage than my truck.

i heard a story about a group of guys who were stealing parts out of a wherehouse (i forget what, some big truck stuff) and they kept a record of everything they took, so that on inventory time the count wasnt off.
what did them in was the 5+ years of records on the computer. once you finish the gfh, get rid of the spreadsheet....
