Question Recommendations when replacing a TPS?

I have a S4 NA, and I am replacing my TPS since the current one goes to infinity when checking it with a DMM, at about 80% open.

So... in a couple of days my new TPS is arriving, and I would like to know, is there anything in particular I should do or consider when uninstalling the old one or getting the new one in?

What about adjusting it? I assume I should also adjust the idle screw on the UIM, right? Should I replace it with the engine hot?

Is there any specific order of doing things?

Any comment/information will be greatly appreciated!

The "A" terminal should be set to read 1 volt at idle & when warmed up. Just bolt on the new one, and adjust the TPS screw. Don't play with other idle settings unless you have to.

Don't drop the bolts. They go under the UIM and it takes forever to get them back.

You really need to go look at your TPS. You slowly open the throttle and you should notice that the TPS plunger is fully extended just about the same time the secondary throttle plates start to move. The TPS voltage does not change from that point on to wide open throttle. Normal as apple pie.

The series five is the same if your only talking about the narrow range plunger on its TPS.

According to Mazda written material, the TPS is full open at 18* throttle angle.

We kinda sorta hope you didn't buy a new TPS due to it going full open before the throttle plates were full open. Oh well.

Or I should have said the TPS monitors only the primary throttle valve opening and NOT the secondary throttle valve opening.
