rebuilt motor with mods?
i'm getting my 88 10AE back in a few days with a rebuilt motor. my question is, is it safe to mod now? or should i wait till my breakin period is over? what i'm planning to do right now is:
replace radiator with a koyo unit
apexi n1 catback
bonez dp and high flow cat
and of course appropriate guages
so it is safe to do these mods before the engine has broken in? or should i wait. and is the stock fuel system adequate with these mods?

You can replace the radiator for sure. But you can't really use the added boost those other mods will give you untill you have broken it in .. so I would wait just to be safe and to avoid temptation. But as long at you don't utilize the boost until its broken in .. it won't really matter; if it entails you doing the work 2X then do them now. If you at least rewire the fuel pump you should be okay ... better yet upgrade it to be safe. If you have no FCD you won't doing a whole lot more than stock.

yeah the fcd is a definite mod also, forgot to add it in. oh yeah i was planning to just put in the walbro pump just for future mods.
so if i avoid boosting for the determined break-in period, i should be ok with the mods? i mean, i can wait, but if i can go ahead with the work before it kinda gets cold then i will.
