rebuilding the tranny

i am going to rebuild my ranny in my 88t2. i was starting to get a weird grind/ rattle in 4th and now it has moved to 3rd and 2nd. and while im down there i might as well fix my leaning shifter problem . i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get the new parts and any helpful advice would be apreciated too! any one in jax fl can come when i get this started for the moral support i know im going to need . thanks again

Gabe

its prolly easier to buy a trans in good condition, since the gears are expensive as hell, if you need to replace those, which you most likely do if your synchros are gone

Bumps aren't allowed in this section. Just a heads up. I'm not the bump police.

as far as i knoe there are no aftermarket replacement gears for our transmissions. they must be bought directly from the dealer. i am also interested in rebuilding my own trans. we should try to archive somthing

http://www.pineappleracing.com/PricelistSvcs.html

Rob rebuilds tranny's and has a few options for making them better. Prolly could email him and ask where he get his parts too.

Jason also does transmission rebuilds.

Looks like KDR does cryo treating on the gears and syncro which will help with longevity.

Auto trannies, it doesn't show on the website. You might need to call them. But it would prolly be expensive.
