Exclamation rebellious headlights

ok people i need some help this is my first post so be kind.
ok about 4 days ago my battery wasnt holding charge too well and it died on me. later in the day some friends of mine took out the battery for me to get it tested while i was at work(it was stuck in the parking lot). turns out the battery was fine but the clamps that connected to the battery were bad(?). anyway they bought 2 and connected them and mycar now works...except when they connected the battery they said my headlights popped up. now they wont go down. i dont know what they did. my 7.5a room fuse got blown but i replaced it and its fine. THE RETRACTOR FUSE IS STILL GOOD so i know its not that. my head lights still work also. i got sick of the them being always up so i took the fuse out and manually lowered them, but when i put the fuse back in they popped up again. my retractor switch is in the OFF position and everything worked excellent before the clamps were replaced so i have no clue whats up. any advice would be good thanx

That same thing happened to me before, your head light motors are still trying to shut the headlights after your car is off and its draining your battery, you should here a ticking sound if this is happening, I suggest you try and manually move them up or down to stop this from happneing

Welcome to the forum.

I had my car do the headlight thing on me some months ago, while driving the headlights would suddenly pop up and the car would die out, but when it came back to life a second or so after the lights would go down again.
It turned out to be a corroded plug that goes from the main fusebox and into the car.
I still dont know why the lights came up, maybe its a call for help
