rear brake qestion

I'm over at my parents and having to replace my rear pad and rotors. i left my somewhat useful Haynes Manual at my house. Before I just start turning them, I was going to see if anyone knew what direction to turn the brake piston to retract it back in to make room for the new pads? Ie clockwise or counter clockwise if your looking at the brake piston.

Thanks for any input. I also forgot my little rachet tool that makes that so much easier than trying with needle nose pliers.
