rear alignment

ok just had to replace a driver side rear tire on my car and it was worn heavily on the very inner edge of the tire

yeah I drive a little crazy at times but don't really know if that is going to be the problem

it almost by eye looks as though the rear is not aligned right but then again it could just be the eye tricking me

my pass side did have a slow leak but have that fixed now

just wonder if you think the pass tire messed it up or if the alignment could be bad?

if it is the alignment what could be wrong I still do have the stock suspension and it isn't adjustable stock right?

so you guys think something bent or struts/sprins worn whats up guys please help me :-)

You probably have a degree of negative camber as a result of sagging springs in the rear. This can be corrected via two ways:

1. Buy new springs at factory ride height.
2. Buy a rear camber link (adjustable) install, and adjust.

Or - you are running too much air pressure in the rears.
With low profile tires on the negative cambered rears pumped up too hard, the tread will not make a full footprint, and will wear abnormally on the inside edge.

That's hard to do. (Unless you have been practicing left hand donuts.)
I'd sure put that one on the alignment rack.

Only on that one tire? I'd suspect an impact in that cars history...

Is there one tore up wheel?

No no torn up wheel. But the Carfax pulled up a "light front end coliision" in it's history I am the second owner, And the car has 180k on the frame. I talked to the original owner and he said he rear ended a car two weeks after he bought the car. All they replaced was the frant bumper skin and a headlight assembly. Kinda wierd. IS THAT THE "power" tire? If it is I may be hurting the situation by burining out all the time......but still i'd liek to fix the probelm. I just ordered a whole new bushing set for the car maybe this will help out, new springs too.....

You should look into getting an unlimited alignment deal from somewhere...

That way, you can get the alignment numbers, correct whats necessary, realign, change parts, realign, etc etc...

1 degree negative shouldn't adversley effect the tire wear much...I've got 2.25 degrees negative in back and have had these tires on for the last 15K (HTRZII, 235/45/17) and the tread is still good. it's possible that your toe in back is off (i think).
