RE/Scoot type louvred hood pics (in progress)
aight guys you know i am going to morocco soon and i have to finish up some stuff for some customers so i am busting ***** to get it all done and have all of these products done soon. Anyhow this is my final design, and I say final because I think this design is the one that I am most satified with so I will probably not make anything else. This hood is BlueTII's hood and i hope to have it done fairly shortly. These pics are taken with the balsa inside walls done and the vents just stuck in there to give you an idea of the vents.....i will get them fit perfectly and then i will hot glue them in and then fiberglass the back parts to secure them. Anyhow i think it being ten percent done just gives an idea of how cool this will look God willing --- Derek
PS.....yes I am one busy guy, and I might have a slight case of ADD. Maybe why i have to do ten things at once.

i could...lool she looks like she is missing a tooth in those pics...i almost have all the balsa work done.....just gotta clean it up and then glass over it....bondo and sand and primer and she will be done for the most part. I am going to get her all glassed up and then i will be doing the bondo and sanding on all three projects at once, the dash, the lip and the hood

Hmm, from an aesthetic standpoint I think it was better before you added the protruding bits on the top. From an aerodynamic standpoint, it was probably better that way too, because the front lip is going to disturb the air path and there won't be as much flow over the vents, which means less vaccuum there to suck the air out.

once it is smoothed out the re hood will actually be the most similar.....and with out the upper protrusions the vents wont be agressive enough unless i place them far enough back from the stock fan and then that means that almost in the middle of the hood further affecting the aestheticism of the whole thing...in the first pics the inner walls of the protrusions are there, you jusqt have to look for them to see them....

thats why i said final because I dont think ill be able to top this off unless i somehow screw up. And also to keep something in mind when looking at the scoot hood, is that the hood itself is a raised bump and that is how they maintain the flat area on top yet still having deep vents.....
