I dont get it. I payed the high dollar to get the 1 inch spacers, and the wheels fit, and dont hit the strut assembly anymore, but now they hit the fenders like right by the wheel well. It happens when I brake, when I turn and go up a sidewalk. It is tearing up my tires and my fender(although I need new ones)
The tire size I have on the front is 225 50r16.
Should I change to 40's or something smaller in height?

How did you know I dropped the car? I lowered it 1.5 inches... I cant go back to stock, i tossed the springs. I love the way it handles and rides, I just want my tires to stop melting... Is getting a tire with a smaller in height sidewall a good idea? Let me know... I have access to 205/45/16s and 205/40/16s
Which should I try?
What exaclty is the sidewall size? Is it in millimeters?

Because if you didn't they probably wouldn't be rubbing. The sidewall number is an aspect ratio. The number (for example in your case 50), is a percentage. The sidewall height is 50% of the width of the tire.

I thought the spacers to use were .75"? Still, with a 1.5 drop, a wheel pushed out 1 inch and an 8 inch rim I would think you're gonna rub! I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often! It may be time to roll / cut your fenders... ~rich
