Is the RB street/strip is too harsh?

I just installed the RB TII street/strip clutch 3 days ago, and it grabs really hard, but at the same time, its chattering in 1st and R just as your trying to get going.

My previous clutch was an ACT N/A street/strip and Hevay Duty PP, and that did not chatter anywhere close to the RB unit!

Its interesting how both these units are advertised as "the next step up from stock" or a Stage 1 clutch upgrade, 30% more clamping, etc... But they feel incredibly different.

Anyone else have similar experiencences with the RB vs. the ACT. How about the ACT S/S TII? (I only had the N/A)

(in case your wondering about the N/A and TII discrepancy - I just swapped drivetrains)

Yes, I do..

I have a 6puck clutch w/ light flywheel and it shakes like a bitch when engaging. It's normal. I talked to Ito from JR's and he said you asked for a racing clutch, and you got a racing clutch. The clutch is harsh, and its a bitch to pick up. I'm still not used to driving it because it seems to change everytime I drive. Sometimes I let out too early, sometimes too late.

For example, from 1st and reverese I get that chattering feeling when I let out the clutch. I can prevent it sometimes in 1st but in reverse it's impossible. But from what I've heard it lasts forever.
