NZ.. what's with all these technicalities.. and what is a soapbox anyway? I'm not trying to start a war here, I'm just telling my story to the rx7 community.. and you seem to be the only one who cares about my opinion.. I'm sorry if you don't agree with it..
and Chris, I'm looking into a tuned or reprogrammed ecu.. but don't know if that'll work out.. would I need to have a stock ecu already or can "they" supply one?
anyway all I think I can offer you is $50, is that fair?

Just a thought: I dont really know which ones of the inputs and outputs of the RX7 ECU are protected internally, but you can fry something, if you exceed input voltage specs (and of course amperage ), OR if you connect an input line to an output That way, if you exceed the voltage output of the ECU with your own signal, you'll have a backfeeding effect that will surely kill something ...probably the ECU.
Now, the boost sensor has a VERY small voltage output, but it could happen, IF the FCD shortcircuited the +12V of its power supply to the signal cable going INTO the ECU (not the one coming from the boost sensor). This is VERY unlikely, because it would mean that the FCD is seriously fucked up inside, or that the FCD has been exposed to extreme heat and the wires' protection has melted , but it could happen....
and yes, I agree with NZ: if you have a problem with a product, first take it up with them, see what they can do, and IF their service does not satisfy you, then you can come in here and tell us all about it. Then we can all bitch at them together
PS: And yeah, NZ, whats a soapbox ?

It's just an old figure of speech, meaning having a big rant about something for everyone to hear. I guess the "box" bit comes from standing up on a box so everyone can hear you. Dunno why it's a soapbox though...

thanks sonicrat, I think I found one.. but if something doesn't work out I'll let you know..
and I did contact RB and all they said they could do was replaced the defective FCD.. it's the waste of money and pain that their FCD put me through which I don't care for.. otherwise I love the company. Before the second incident I just got a full exhaust from them and it is great!
I guess I really came on here to ask for another ecu and decided to explain why I needed one in the form of bitching.. I'm usually not one to do that, but I was pretty mad..
