Talking Raw Rx7 Power

I just bought a 87 Turbo II for $2700 with 88k 5 speed. I was just curious to how easy it would be to get 400rwhp out of it I plan on exhaust/intake/bigger turbo/Fuel (but bigger injectors or more injectors? and how do i add more??)/Electronics/gauges (EGT/AFR/BOOST / Boost controller/Turbo Timer/AFC/Engine Managment/)/ Ignition, Maybe 50-75 shot of Nos.) Maybe Underdrive Pulleys, Lighter Flywheel, Bigger Radiator/Intercooler... What brands are good for the rotary? What things should i look out for? what else is there? Sorry i may sound lame but this is greek to me.. The Rotary from wha ti've read is as strong as you maintain it but seems sensitive...

Is Redline Oils ok for the rotary? if not what about tranny fluid/coolant/etc...???

You'll need a bigger turbo...

http://fc3s-pro.com/TECH/MODS/mods.html

Read all of the fuel/ignition/engine/exhaust/intake sections...

I'm building a page where it'll be a bit more straight forward very soon. (ala Stage I, Stage II, Stage III, etc.)

That's a big chunk o' change you're looking to spend. If money comes that easily to you, you might wanna consider a 3 rotor engine swap. It would require all of the things you listed, and some custom engine mounts, and a bigger rad, but the turbo, fuel, and EMS systems would all be the same.
Now that is RAW RX-7 power.

I'd budget a rebuild into your plans. I can't see a stock 15yo motor being very happy making nearly 500hp! Plus you'll be able to do a little porting.

Yeah, damn POS server! When I tried to submit my post, it said "server too busy". So I went back and tried again, same thing, so I waited 30sec and had another go and it worked. Suddenly I see THREE POSTS! Grrr...

I would say on that motor with 88K on it, 300 would be OPTIMISTIC. especially with a stock port. you can have the engine blueprinted and balanced and run high levels of boost and make around 400HP, or you can have it blueprinted, balanced, and a large port and run moderate boost levels to reach your goal. Bottom line is that the motor needs some internal work to reach that high of a goal. Soul assassin has everything you mentioned except nitrous, Running a Bridgeport and a T04R and he is making 550HP to the wheels. mentioned that to give you an idea of the work that goes into it. Dont get me wrong, I plan on getting a Stock port engine with a huge turbo into that HP range as well, but that engine has most likely seen some wear and tear. Before you do anything you need to check the compression.

Something else you wanta keep your eye on is the drivetrain. Big HP numbers means **** will break more easy and more often. 400hp is pushing the stock drivetrain.
