What would happen if I took out the black spacer between the throttle body and the UIM??

Um, I'd assume things wouldn't line up properly. That's why it's called a spacer.

You would also lose a bunch of the vacuum/metered air ports on the UIM. There are paths molded into the spacer that either open up to behind the TB or lead into the TB to come out somewhere else (like before the throttle plates).

Yeah I noticed that, it won't match up. Not only that but I would probably need to find a gasket to prevent a vaccum leak. So we can aggree that it doesn't do anything positive?

^Uhhh no. Take it out and look at it. Like mentioned, it's used for air passages/vacuum. You will see it has air passages routing internally and they are useful.

Taking it OUT will result in nothing positive.
