Random flooding
OKay so I did a motor swap in Jan because my car contently flooded due to bad compression. New motor, ran fine for like 2 weeks, tps went and at that point I figured out that at some point in my cars life before I got it, the tps went and was never replace I was just driving around with the tps un-hooked for like 5 years. Replaced the TB and tps. The car was still flooding, I replaced the injecters, the runs 900 times better and alot better on gas.
The car still floods 1 out ever 10-15 starts when it does flood I pull the fueses and hold the tb open after 3 10seconds bursts I put the fuese back in and it fires up just fine.
The compression is good the injectors are new, the tb and tps is new and set correctly, new battery starter is good, I'm losing my mind. I have to pray every time I start my car that it will fire up. It does it the most when its cold out side and the car has been running. Like if I'm driving to work and I pull off for gas it might not start after filling up. If the car is 100% cold it always starts -25 it starts but if I shut it off 20 minutes later it floods on the restart. The car always reaches running temp to.
So one give me a solution to this.

Hahaha man i have the same problem. I've had my T2 for bout 5 years now and its just somethin i have gotten used to. It will start right up when its cold but every once in a great while when its warm it doesnt fire. But i have found out that holding the throttle wide open while cranking it over usually gets it to start right up if it is flooded. Hope this helps.

I was told once that a bad thermostat or wiring in the radiator could cause the car to enter it's cold start fuel dump mode when the car has already warmed up, causing it to flood.
