hey man--no joke....I felt bad after, but I pulled that winter air trick on a girl I know once.....she called me from the gas station with four flat tires asking me how to know if the air compressor has been changed to "summer" or not?? after all, she didn't want to ruin her new tires by putting "winter" air back in.....

no my car is not fucked up ight im going to ****** stop posting on this GAY *** thread all you people are are idiots i never get an educated responce from anyone but a couple people on this thread. I LOOKED AT IT TODAY the line runs straght to the intake manifold it injects the cemical into your intake and desolves the carbon then you take it off and hit the gas to blow out all the carbon and the chemical. Yall are ****** idiots if you dont belive me go to Jiffy lube and ask them about it, IM Just ****** TIRED OF LAME *** people who keep positng on this thread with nothing to say but your stupid and not even talk about the real point of the thread. if you want to have educated conversations start postin on FC3s.com's forums no one there talks as much **** as you all do

DUDE--WTF is with you?? Assassin was asking a reasonable question (is this something we should avoid), and he was laughin at what I said about the air in that girl's tires(^^^ means the previous post)

Besides, you asked US the question. So you traced the line back to the IM....that's fine, but look at what you told us:

"today i put a fuel system cleaner in my gas and ran a fuel injection cleaner through my intake and my god my car smoked like crazy ive never seen anyo car smoke as bad as mine did off that FIC it was almost dieing when i put it in. but one question is has anyone done this before beacause id like to do it agan and clean some more out but i dont know if its bad for a rotoary or not anyone know"

ok--let's look at this....you put FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER in the line that runs into the manifold. Tell me--how much of that cleaner do you think got into your injectors?? NONE--fuel comes out of the injectors, so any cleaner that got close would have been shot out with the fuel. NOW--if you wanted to clean out the engine, thats one thing, but you even told us you are trying to clean your injectors. On top of that, you're asking us if this is bad for a rotary, but you already did it!! why not ask the question BEFORE you do it, and possibly avoid some harm to your engine!!

seems to me that you got some decent responses in here....someone mentioned the water trick(steam cleans your engine out), and we also talked about not bringing a rotary just anywhere because of what happens when you do. so people started joking.....dude-you did something stupid, and being that you work on cars yourself, you should have probably known the difference yourself, but no matter. Point is we have all done dumb things to our cars. That is part of the learning process. most of us have been in some kind of spot like you are in now. truth is we all just dealt with it and moved on. If this bothers you so much, grow a thicker skin man....

If you think this forum sucks then there you go. Post on FC3S if you want....you are free to do so. but if these posts bother you that much maybe you should look into a new career....as a hermit.....

so which is it--were you trying to clean the injectors like you first said(and just told me again) or were you trying to find a new way to clean carbon from the chamber?? Man--we know what you did to your car as well. and what you did had nothing to do with what you told us you did. Get that part right. truth is tons of us have done things we didnt intend to do. I NEVER called you stupid, so I dont know where the hell you got that from.

Look--you have the right to post here. We have the right to respond to your posts. If no one told you, you would still be thinking that your FI cleaner just cleaned your injectors! Seems to me you got some info there. Also, there are already better and cheaper ways out there(FREE) to clean out the inside of the engine. What can be better than safe, FREE, and works great? We are not here to reinvent the wheel. So you get the stuff free--if you want to use it have a blast, but the rest of us who dont work for Jiffy Lube will do it our own way.you can take that hose off, put it in a gallon of water, and run the car until all the water is gone at about 3K on the tach. This steam cleans your engine WITHOUT all that white smoke that causes neighbors to call the fire dept.

I dont give a rats *** how old you are or why you work there. Thats your business, and you can keep it to yourself. but dont come on here, and change your story, and start telling everyone to **** off or whatever. that ISNT your business to be on here doing that ****. so GROW UP, and get the stick out of your ***. if you dont like what people say to you, then stop asking the questions....after all, this is a PUBLIC FORUM

Now, taking the Mod hat back off...

Listen from what you described and claimed you did, you fed the second potion through your brake booster feed....didn't you???

If you did, the line does not feed into any part of the upper manifold or even the forward rotor.

So if the stuff removed carbon, it only did so on the rear rotor and maybe 1 inch of intake manifold where it meets the block.

The big concern with feeding it that way would be if the stuff doesn't compress well, or doesn't burn well, in which case you may have blown out an seal (which means your blew your motor). A compression check on the rear rotor would answer that question.

then if you need take you motor apart, you can actually see if your compounds are worth the cost you paid. hell just put a little of the stuff in the exhaust pipe, and see if it cleans the carbon off of in there.

By the way, the black thing behind the master cyl is the power brake booster.

Thats good that it is still running okay.

It sounds like perhaps a vacuum leak now. When you fed the stuff through the brake booster line, did you remove the check valve first, or use a different line???

Perhaps you melted the check valve out of the brake booster line???

We all learn new things everyday i didnt even know there was a valve i didnt know the name of the big black thing(Brake Booster and i learned im not gonna mess with putting chemicals in my enige ill just go straght oil and gas mabe the atf or water though. so dont make fun of me because i didnt know something i am only 18 been workin on cars sence 16 thats only 2 years experence and had and rx-7 for about 5 months so im pretty new to rotory but i think ive learned alot in that time

Its possible that if the check valve is gone or damaged and that if your brake booster had any sort of leak you would have vacuum and idle issues.

Hey Blazin. If you're talking about the system at Jiffy Lube. Its most likely GUMOUT 3 Step Cleaner. I'm working at Jiffy Lube myself for some extra cash. I'm not sure if thats the same system you have in your store. But on our fuel system cleaning (GUMOUT), it says on the very first line, " DO NOT USE ON ROTARIES, TURBOCHARGED ENGINES, ETC .."

Also, Jiffy Lube has a problem properly training 'Lube Techs' how to do a proper fuel injection cleaning. I've done two different types of fuel injection cleaning.

One method is (3 Step System) ,
1 Bottle to the tank
1 Bottle to clean the throttle body, meaning taking out the stock black air ducts and cleaning the throttle body with a rag while working the butterfly.
1 Bottle that goes into a vaccum line. Most of the time, it goes into the Power Brake Booster, and it hooks on to another canister with a dial to control the flow of the fluid. It's suppost to run a steady drop and ITS NOT SUPPOST TO SMOKE!!! I REPEAT, ITS NOT SUPPOST TO SMOKE!! Overall, This system should take about 30-45 Minutes to complete that whole bottle.

Let me know if you did use GUMOUT.

Another method I use to do fuel injection was, I disabled the fuel pump, I adapted a line onto the fuel rail and ran an additive through the injectors and started the car and let it run with the additive as fuel. This process takes only about 20-30 minutes to complete.

As for my RX7, I do not trust any products at all. I never put any additives in my seven because 99.9% of the products are designed for piston engines. I only trust systems where other seven owners used and has been proven. If you still want your injectors cleaned, send them out.

Sorry for talking so long. Let me know if you have any questions.
