No, I just found a graph on the net of air density vs. air temp that showed ~1.2kg/m³ @ 20ºC and ~1.1kg/m³ @ 40ºC; about a 9% difference. But now I’m looking at a proper psychrometric chart, just to make you happy! The above figures relate to about 20% relative humidity, witch is a bit low.
Assuming 20ºC air with 60% RH, heating this to 40ºC (typical underbonnet temp) drops density from 1.19kg/m³ to 1.11 kg/m³, a drop of 6.7%. So it’s still a significant difference.
Happy now?!
LOL, given rho=P/(RT), I was figuring somewhere in the 6% range for a 20degC difference in dry air. I figured that you had a difference in humidity or something, but was too lazy to do all the math so I just figured that I'd ask you what you did. I'm happy now.

BTW, my aircraft performance cruise charts for piston engines show a 3-6% hp difference for every 20degC. The turbocharged TSIO-520-AE shows about 3-4% per 20degC, while the naturally aspirated IO-360-L2A shows 5-6% per 20degC. It makes me wonder if NA's do better with a CAI than turbocharged engines, but you really can't make that determination with only one example of each.

Great, now I'm curious, so I gotta look up some more engines tomorrow.

mazdaspeed7 is the ****. your cars look nice man. I'm not sure I'd let a woman sit on my car though. Any ways- Is there a way to contact Checkpoint online? Please let me know as I'm very interested in their setup.
