Radio Trim Question

I've got an 87 GXL with the factory radio/equalizer setup. thats going but my bezel surround is toasted. I wanted to know if an 89-91 with the new air vents would work b/c they're made out of a more flexible material???

If you have the stock wide Premium S4 radio (no spacers on each side) then the 89-91 radio surround will not work without replacing the radio.

But if you have the stock base style radio (with plastic spacers on each side of the radio, between the surround and the radio) then the 89-91 style will work fine. The base style, looks like this:

The wide Premium radio style will have the radio opening the same size as the upper vent section.
