I'd be a little scared to drive my car around while my low coolant buzzer was going off.

I see their point - flush it real good. I had not heard the distilled water recommendation before.

No, it means your cooling system is boiling over.
I had an oil temp gauge installed and monitoring everything at the same time.&nbsp The oil temp gauge is a better indicator of how hot the engine is...

If you've never torn down a 13B before, there's a LOT of crap in the coolant passages in the housings.&nbsp This is why I wrote-up that procedure.&nbsp This is the most effective way of preventing all that crap from forming.&nbsp If you've followed the 10-minute procedure on the Prestone Super Flush bottle, it doesn't do jack to remove the serious deposits.&nbsp How do I know?&nbsp I've torn my engine down 4 times already with different procedure engine flushes in between...

Ted -

Quote from your site:

Drain all coolant.

Close drains and fill with your favorite flushing additive. We recommend using Prestone Superflush™.

Fill the rest of the radiator and cooling system with water.

- A little clarification? Fill with flushing additive or just dump in a whole bottle at once, then the rest of the way with water?

Edit: will this procedure clean out all the gunk that's probably already left there from the standard flushing procedure?

Oops, I should go reword it - yes, as following he instructions on the bottle, you'll end up with a bottle of Prestone Superflush and the rest with water.

I've reworded some of the text.&nbsp Try to see if it makes more sense now?
