radiator cap and thermosat question
what pressure should my radiator cap be rated at for an 87 tII? what should the temp range/rating be on my thermostat?

0.9bar (13psi) for the cap, not sure about the 'stat.
Since you're going to get these from Mazda anyway (you are, aren't you?!), they'll know which are the right parts for your car.

They make 160F, 180F and 195F thermostats IIRC. The 180F is the stock one, and that is the one I have used for years with no trouble. Stock cap pressure is 13lbs with the cooling system rated at 12-14lbs IIRC again. Check the FSM on my site to be sure, or just get Mazda parts which is what you should do anyway
