Racing Beat Turbo Back Sound
I hear its quiet for a full turbo back. I'm just wondering before I buy. Anyone here ever bought the downpipe and presilencer and have custom welded catback? Any vids or sounds?

Definitely not the loudest exhaust. Mine sounds stock at idle with a little bit of a steel sound(like the exhaust is made out of steel instead of cotton).
At WOT it gets a little more ignorant. Loud enough to hear it over most stereos. And it has a distinct "Fast and the Furious" sound.

I have a 3" turbo back RB system on my convertible (adapted to work with NA engine). I recently swapped my rearend to a GTUs gear, and as such had teh catback off. For ***** and giggles, I fired it up with only the downpipe and presilencer on, and the thing wasnt much louder to be honest...more volume, but the tone/sound remained the same. Bottom line, it is teh RB presilencer that produces the deep, subtle tone. I have heard RB mufflers on straightpipes, and they sounded okay, but not nearly as good as the system with presilencer.

i was thinking about getting the downpipe and presilencer and adapting it to maybe a greddy power extreme. i'm looking for a deep tone. my current exhaust sounds like a 4 banger but deeper.

ive got the 3' RB downpipe/presilencer, with a corksport 3' catback made to fit for what its worth. the RB presilencer is priceless. that thing makes such a difference. im going to get a sound clip soon, just havent gotten around to it yet. but all my buddies with 7's are telling me how good the car sounds.

I have the complete 3" system, it sounds great. RB did a awsome job with this exhaust. Has a classy look instead of the cheaper rice systems. Great power gains to. You can see the quality in the whole system from the welds to the finish. Also they get a A+ for fitment. Bolted right up, like a bolt on should. Most bolt ons require some swearing and customizing.

it is only on s4's that they stick out, due to the recessed bumper. since they made the system to fit all fc's, they made it to look right on an s5 with the thicker bumper, and the s4, well, itjust has to stick out.

I just ordered the RB presilencer to use on my car in cunjunction with my 3" DP, a magnaflow Y-pipe and two magnaflow mufflers. I think it will look really nice with the Bomex tail end and should have a pretty nice sound as well... right now I don't have ANY exhaust and it sounds like WW2 every time I fire her up.
