Racing Beat install

So the day has finally come, tomorrow is the end of my 10AE only spooling 6.56 psi of boost. I recently bought the entire Racing Beat system and am planning on installing it myself tomorrow with the help of my brother and dad. So the question is, where should I start? Anybody have any ideas or tips on how to reach the bolts holding on the main cat to the exhaust side of the turbo? Should I just drop the whole system in one piece? I tried to get a start tonight but after changined the oil, tranny, and diff fluid I was spent. Oh yeah, the new head lights were nice.

Any other advice or comments would be greatly appreciated. Oh yes, there will be pictures to follow.

Thanks.

drop it as one unit man. that will save you tons of time if its a turbo back. be careful *** the studs on the turbo are sometimes prone to breaking. take some pb blaster, and let it soak. hit the bolt a couple of times, and spray again. wait a lil while longer and try taking it off.

also, the jack that cones with a car uses a handle with a hook on the end that works perfect for pulling them hangers off.

Same here man. I got the full t2 exhaust, and it arrived today. I didn't get any doughnuts though because from rb they're way way to expensive. I'm going to an exhaust shop and getting a couple universal doughnuts. Installing should be in a couple days.

By looking at the instructions it looks easy. Didn't you get instructions?

You start from the back to the turbo taking off as you go. Installation is reverse, start from turbo and straight back.

replace the studs on the turbo when you have the stock exhaust off. They are M10 X 1.50 I think? double check that.

and soak the whole thing in PB blaster overnigth first. and you may have to use a torch to heat stuff up in order to get it off.

Amazingly enough, I was putting a full racing beat exhaust on my 10AE this weekend too. Although I needed to pull the turbo and manifold as well to address some exhaust leaks. Turns out my manifold is all cracked up. So I did not get to finish the install this weekend .
