Hey everyone,
Today I Installed a Racing Beat cat back exhaust system with a Bonez Race pipe.
The Installation was easy but didn't go without a few problems.
The first problem is that from the motor to the catalytic converter there was a tube. Upon removing the cat there is now a tube coming off my motor going to nothing. What do I do with the tube? Cap it? Or is it an important part that needs to be connected somewhere?
The second problem is that the exhaust tips don't line up good with the bumper. Is there a way to adjust them to look more integrated?
And my final question is in the middle where the y pipe connects to the race pipe there should be 2 rubber hangers, but my car was missing both of them. Is there somewhere where I can buy just those 2 hangers? Or will I have to buy the complete set from racing beat?
I searched these topics but came up with no usable information. Thank you in advance for the help.

1. That pipe is the split air tube. It is where the ACV diverts air into the catalytic converter. Since you removed the cat, you do not need it. I would take it off the ACV and block it off with a plate.
2,3. Your rubber hangers could be old and stretched, and yes the Y should be supported by hangers. Both of these will contribute to your exhaust not hanging incorrectly. You can buy both of those hangers and 6 new doughnut hangers for like 10 bucks from rockauto.com. These are cheap replacements, or you could go with the mazda or special material ones for like 10X the cost... what ever you needs and budget are.
Second, once you get some new hangers, loosen up the connections to the Y and the mufflers. Then kinda get them in a position you like a little better then start tightening from the cat back.

Thank you so much! Is there a place I can buy a block off plate at for the ACV? And I'll for sure check out rockauto .com.
Bamato: No sir, The bonez simply was a straight pipe with a resonator.

You will be able to put the split air one on after moving the pipe and the studs. You would have to actually remove the ACV and AIR pump to use the other two plates. You should probably read about emissions removal thoroughly before hand.

I have an S5 N/A so I don't think I need all the plates. I don't plan to remove emissions forever. It's a temporary thing because my old exhaust was crap and deteriorating and the previous owner had cut and welded in the cat so my exhaust was one piece from the header to the back of the car. So had I only installed the racing beat it wouldn't reach the header. So the bonez race pipe is my cheapest solution for the time being until I can afford a high flow cat. will there be any adverse affects of only blocking off the split air tube? Again, thank you for the help!

High flow cats can be had for ~60-80$... just fyi. Not sure how much that Bonez pipe cost you.
As for the split air pipe blocking, not sure if it will cause any problems or not. While I still run all my emissions equipment, I haven't the slightest inclination on how the ACV system works.
