Raceonusa body parts

just wondering how good their body parts are. I am planning to source together bumpers, side skirts, etc. Does anyone have info on their RE amemiya replica as far as fitment and other information. Thanks!!

My suggestion would be to buy from Shine Auto Project. Their stuff fits very well.

ok what is cool about both places is i can personally pick up the body kits and will save me on shipping. Shine project is 15 mins from my parents house and can have them pick up for me. Do they still sell the FC2000 front bumper? Tried to call shine today and no one is answering.. Thanks.

well i plan to buy from shine auto. how are raceon's fenders? do they fit well??

Yeah shine is always on back order and is very busy. But it is definitely worth the wait. If you live so close just stop by.

Edit: Yes, they still sell that bumper.

since no one here helped you with your question *people tend to give their opinion without having any related experience with the product by said company*

I have raceon front fenders that i got cheap locally.. Ive had to modify them, cut and add fiberglass here and there. Gaps in a few places.. Others would be turned off by this.

Im used to working with fiberglass so it was no biggy for me.

and a log of work ive done to it *you have to register, but its worth it, alot of good bodykit installs etc

I had problems with RaceonUSA a few years back with the ReAmemiya kit. Service was very bad due to their supplier/builder of the kit. basically back then it was about 1800 USD FC2k with HID lights and etc (shipping also) I got ripped off on the HIDs and didnt get a refund whatsoever. they just sent me some generic lights prob worth 80USD compared to 600USD for the HID kit. Didnt get reimbursed, only got Store credit which prob isnt avaiable to me anymore. How much credit .... about 100. can't buy anything with that.

Anyhow, i guess they've made alot of improvements since then, but I prob would go with Shine Auto next time around.

GL with which ever route you choose.

p.s. The Fc2k kit did not fit the way you want it to. Idk about Shines, but most people has had the same problems unless pure RE version.

I have their 35mm ricer vented front fenders. Needed some massaging with a heat gun to even get the mounting surfaces aligned right. Drivers side has a rather serious door gap I've never been able to get rid of. I don't care since its only used for auto-x anymore, but if I was even a bit more **** about the car's looks I'd probably be unhappy. That said, they were quite cheap and clear my 245s, so I guess I can't complain too much.

I am installing the Shine fenders now, and all I had to do is drill the bolt holes, they fit perfect. I could have bought EBay specials, but have heard only how bad they fit. For me the cheaper fenders were not worth the work to make them fit.

Yes, they make the ventless overfenders similar to foresight.

I work right next door to Raceonusa, they haven't been real busy lately, I think I saw a sign "for lease" on the front of their property too

I bought a roof spoiler from race on. Not to mention i inquired about other products and possibly offering a hood vent and they ignored me. When it came to verifying my bank account and stuff they sent multiple emails for 3 days straight and it was an actual human being. That kinda turned me off from buying anything else from em..... Might as well hit up a faceless ebay vendor if that's the case, right?

It sits crooked not because i failed to take the time to properly mounted. It was warped beyond help out of the box.

Like someone else said, if it was a show car, i'd be pissed. It's not and other people dont even notice. I do though.....

frp parts on Ebay up in Maryland make some great parts. I have a GP bumper I bought from them with no waves and fits really well. Will need a little massaging here and there but nothing compared to some of the **** I have seen.

I think those fenders are originally by r-magic. expensive from them if you can even find them. tamon design makes fenders similar to those but less dramatic. tamons cost a lot though but I think they look better, especially with the break vents. heres pics:

if you get raceonusa then expect to do some fiber glass work and sanding to get them to fit right. I know someone who got those fenders and had to do a LOT of work to get them good. I don't know if shine sells them though, shine is great qaulity so get whatever you can from them. also, JTP at hotline in CA makes good fitting gp sports and bn kits. http://www.justinpawlak.com/Hot_Line...=0&sort=normal. If you want a cheap/good quality kit to get you by.

you don't have to have the brake vents under the fronts either. heres a thread with a ventless pic of those fronts.

I think you can get genuine tamon design parts from rhdjapan.com but they cost a lot like I said. I think that the look and fitment is worth it though since I don't know anyone that recreates their fenders or quarters.

edit:prices have gone down since I last checked! fenders were 1300 USD a year or so ago, here is a link to that site with "tamon design fc" searched. shipping might be crazy though. http://www.rhdjapan.com/catalogsearc...model=0&flag=1

I have purchased and handled there products. I sent there products back was utter rubbish. Then they were a PITA to deal with after long story short. As recommended Shine Auto Project has been outstanding to deal with. Good luck in your quest!

raceonusa or rhdjapan? I don't know much about rhdjapan but I think they are mostly an importer into the US. so the tamon stuff should be tamon quality if I understand how they operate correctly. raceonusa parts are ok if you have time and know how to deal with fiberglass but ya, they suck out of the box. I'd get fronts from raceonusa for a drift car that I didn't really care what it looked like but thats all.

fc3s91-car looks sick! I'm painting my car from stock maroon to black, these cars just look too good in black not to do it and I have a base/lightest model so its worth repainting.

it is pricey but the look flows the best with the stock lines then any other kit I've seen. most other fenders make it look like an RC car imo. look around at other stuff from shine, origion, gp sport, re-amemiya, d-max,etc. to see if you can find other things you like that are cheaper. try to source an actual r-magic kit (thd 255 fenders),just hard to come by.
