we think he just pinched them during assembly. It's easy to lose track of the o-ring on the middle iron when it faces downward.

Yep, which can happen to any brand of coolant seal if you're not careful.

Those seals suck!! They are the worst and those that use them suck as well!!!

J/K I just wanted to keep your blood from coagulating on a Wednesday night. I would ahve run them had they been easier to buy from....and by that. I was trying to call and we played phone tag and I then I was at the Cherry Exit on the 405 in Long Beach so I pulled off and went into Mazdatrix.........parts bought.

side seals usually only fail due to improper installations, coolant seals usually fail due to improper installations or lack of inspection for other possible causes of future failure(coolant seal wall thickness), apex seals usually fail due to improper tuning. RA apex seal springs are known to have issues but commonly only fail with improper tuning.

i'm tired of all these BS posts of people bashing on manufacturers...

I wasnt bashing any manufactures!!! as for my side seal failure, im still using my RA seals and they work great. i truthfully dont know why my side seal went, it ran fine for a 1k break in, but once i started boosting my e6x was going crazy with break up and maybe detonation. i still dont understand why i lost a side seal. all other seals were fine.

not you, people in general, i have seen many threads like this go into the toilet because people blamed their problems on parts not themselves.

Did you reuse your side seals or were they brand new in the rebuild?

I think you ordered too much. If I am not mistaken, the o-ring kit comes included with the basic overhaul kit

You should use oem apex seal springs with the RA apex seals. I have 7k on a motor with the RA seals, sees 14psi almost as many times as it has miles.
