Quietest FC cat-back?

So I want to go the opposite road of all those retards out there with fart cans. I want my girl as quiet as possible. You won't know I've been and gone 'til you see the garbage by the side of the road...

I'm looking for recommendations for quiet, fairly lightweight exhaust systems. I've heard that the RB is a good quality unit, but is incredibly heavy. Ne1 care to offer recommendations?

From all I've read, the RB cat-back is the quietest aftermarket exhaust.
stay away from headers, if you are concerned about the noise...

RB catback is the quietest. Don't get headers, downpipe, or straight pipe. That'll just kill the quiet. Do you have a TII or N/A ? It shouldn't matter. Just wondering. Stick with a dual because a single can will be loud, no matter which one you have.

Just get plain old Bosal mufflers from your local auto parts store. Don't forget the chrome tips.

So excuse the retard comment. There are only a handful of 7s around town here and I seldom see them. So when I do see a car with a fart can, it's almost always a riced-out Civic or Integra. Thus my hang up.

I've got an '86 NA. And I am planning on putting headers in her. I also want to keep her street legal (emissions) and I don't want to weigh her down with a heavy-as-**** exhaust system, which is what I'm told the RB is... I want a quiet 7. Think Knight Rider, without the gay ****.

Amur, invest in a dynomax superturbo catback. They're the cheapest you can find, and they're quiet, straight-through, and look stock. That's what i'm saving up my pennies for next

You got a price on this? Sounds good. And who carries them? A quick search came up with Speedy, but I'll be damned if I'll let those guys touch my 7.

Yeah buddy. Most canadian tire stores will carry them (however, if they call keystone to order it, chances are likely that keystone will flip them off). Tell CT to order DIRECTLY from Dynomax. They will do it for you. The price I believe is $540 Canadian for a full dual catback exhaust including Y-Pipe. Some ***** was selling one on ebay recently... but he's a dick. He left some good info tho... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ndexURL=0&rd=1

Turbo or NA DOES make a difference. Turbos act like a muffler and do quiet the engine some. NA engines require more baffeling (SP?) in the mufflers. Most catbacks I have looked at only offer one model and don't differentiate between NA and turbo.

Want it sound like Knight Rider. LOL. I replaced the cats on my with a bonez superflow system (cat and presilencer, still with factory exhaust manifold) and the sound out the exhaust jumped.

Want it really quiet keep it stock. If you want headers forget about quiet.

Thanx, Ross - you rock. And thanks to all!

Yeah, this pic has been overused lately, but the big guy still cracks me up.

Can anyone comment on the weight of the Dynomax?
