Don't cheap out on the clutch. It's like the bearings...why have to do it again sometime soon?

I know that's fairly hypocritical coming from someone who installed a used Exedy SII clutch, but it has around 70% remaining...

I have one that may do you some good, but it's not terribly peppy. I could take some pictures of it if you'd like, and you could make me an offer. It's LuK.

You can rent a pilot bearing puller for free from AutoZone. You have to leave a deposit but you get the entire deposit back when you return the puller.

I just did mine. Definitely change the pilot bearing and the seal. I went ahead and changed the rear seal in the transmission also.

Also, it would be a good time to change the shifter spring, if your shifter doesn't return to center.

Rev it to 12k rpms. the clutch will come out and place itself, along with your legs, on the floor for you to change.

Nah, you can get it out with the shifter in just fine. Just put it in third.

Bellhousing blanket > clutch explosion.

Once you do this once, you will never forget how lol.

Also, +1 on case of beer, and then use the excuse "I'll need your keys because your drinking" so they have to stay.

Profit!

Also just did this on my 90 GTU (TII swap) as well as replaced master & slave, real easy to do with the right tools.
