Quick question: what's on the end of this hose?

Spraying carb cleaner to find a large idle-killing vac leak, it looks like the leak is somewhere under the vdi manifold. I'm just wondering what this thing is. (see red arrow) It's not labeled in the FSM.

It's part of the accelerated warmup system. The valve opens along with the BAC to boost the idle up to 3k when cold starting.

Thanks. If it didn't work, could it cause idle issues or would it just just not rev up on start up?

You can unplug it, cap the openings off, and toss the thing. When I removed mine, I saw no change. The BAC alone pumps enough air to get the idle up to roughly 3k.

I'm going to try taking that thing off to see if it makes a difference, but there is another hose that goes under the uim. Where's it go? Why is this not in the FSM?
