quick question
Are s4 and s5 battery to starter harness interchangable? Im talking about the one that runs from battery to starter to fuse box and alt.
And on that note, on an s5 are the harness interchangable between turbo and non turbo.
I tried to modify a s4 harness to work with a s5 system and am not getting any power whatsoever to the starter, my dash lights up though. There is no hum to the fuel pump either so i think it's this harness that's givng me problems. I havent gotten a chance to get voltage readings but i know for sure that im not getting any power.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.

the wire from the battery to the starter is a simple circuit, if the wire really is that bad then you can just replace it with a new one and bypass the harness. the harnesses are different so i would replace it with the right one or diagnose where the voltage is going. i have a feeling the issue is in your starter cut circuit, not the main lead from the battery.

@ karack.
I have a feeling its like that too. I was reading up on a faulty security circuit that could be the problem but first things first i want to replace it with the correct series so i can begin from there.
