Quick Intake Question..does intake increase ur idle speed?

Does installing new intake increase the idle speed on your car.......? i dont know.....help me out..

make sure you dont have a vacuum leak when u installed the cone....this happened to me and i was like wtf....the plastic piece thats held on by a clamp came off up at the top

it was a cone K&N replica filter...i check...everything was fine the way they are suppost to.....it just dat everytime i start the car....the idle is above 1000....not normal....this is not a cold start...

No. Odds are you have a vacuum leak. The intake tube can be difficult to make seal around the AFM sometimes.

Also, the AFM must be oriented in the factory position. If you turn it 90 degrees, the mixture will be effected.

i second the leaking intake as well....i'm puttin around town with a 1.5k idle....and i know its def the intake leak

aaron, about AFM positioning, im noticing in pics of your turbo n/a setup your AFM is tilted slightly to the right, is this ok?

That was hacked up because it was the only way it fit. Also, with an S-AFC you can tune most of those problems out.
