Quick BOV question - Greddy type S
I got a used Greddy type S blow off valve.
My question is regarding the adjusting screw on top of the BOV - it adjusts from "hard" to "soft"...what does "hard" and "soft" mean? What exactly is that adjustment doing? Is it just a sound adjustment, or does it denote the force required to open the valve?

hard and soft refers to the spring tension. tighter the screw is the more tension there is the harder it is for the bov to open. Vice versa for loosening. The sound is also affected by how much and how easily it opens.

So, how does one go about properly adjusting the spring tension? I assume that if its too "soft", then its unnecessarily bleeding off boost, and if its too "hard" then its putting too much strain on the IC when the butterflies are closed?
