![Question](https://www.rx7club.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Okay, just real quick here. I want to make sure this will work before i decide to do this.
Will a engine from a 89 n/a fit into a 87 n/a with out any complications? If there are complications what are they?
Thanks!
-Jessica

First, let me just say:
Holy Cow, a girl driving an rx-7?
Second, let me say:
Yeah, I'm thinking about doing the same thing as you are. More HP, and 6 ports that work.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the list that you'd need to do a s4->s5 swap:
s5 engine
s5 ecu
s5 wiring harness
The thing i'm worried about is the whole airpump/actuator thing. Does the s4 have the same stuff as the s5 in this respect, or would I[we] have to buy the airpump and all that jazz?
Word.

No thats the total hard way of doing it.
Just use your s4 intake, front cover, wiring, fuel injection ont eh s5 motor...be sure to use a s5 flywheel on the motor though.
All the s4 stuff bolts right on and it will run with minimal headaches in your existing car., and give a bit of a power and redline increase due to lighter, high compression rotors in the s5 motor.

Hot damn, I get the man himself to reply.
Anywho.
Kevin, I thought about emailing you and asking you that question, but then I decided to just post it up. My money is pretty much already yours to rebuild an S5 motor.
...It's just I don't have that money yet. Hah.
Anyway, thanks a lot.
