questions for those that know

alright have a few questions for anyone who will be nice enough to help me out....

ehaust- i want to get a bigger exhaust but what size should i get to get proper performance
if i get a bigger piping can i downsize to fit my new mufflers, or should i get new mufflers too
would it be more practical to just run back one pipe and throw on one performance muffler instead of the catback

after i get the exhaust done, the performance ignition and fuel systems upgraded along with the computer module, would it be at all possible to mount a tiny supercharger under the hood, and if so what size. I have also seen little electric superchargers that push out 3\5 psi, are they anything worth conciedering or no. i greatly appreciate any help that anyone can give me, thanks jesse

electric superchargers?? never heard of such a thing. whats the site of brand? where did u find them

on the exhaust if its catback only i would put a single 2 inch pipe to the passengers side with one high flow muffler...
if its a full exhaust i would go with a Mind train Header silencer set-up and replace your y-pipe and bolt on two high flow mufflers.

electric supercharger ehh?? help me with that one

depends what you want for exhaust. 2.5 in exhaust should be fine, but if you want to go larger, apexi makes i think 3 in exhaust. why go with a supercharger? they cost like 2000-4000$. so why not just go with a turbo?

Are you talking about one like the one from http://www.electricsupercharger.com/ ? They have been discussed here before, and the general concensus is that they're a waste of money. They may be able to put out the 1psi PRESSURE they claim, but they can't match the large airflow VOLUME a rotary needs.. One thought is that it may even REDUCE horsepower by restricting airflow since it can't push enough... There are much better ways to spend 300$ than on that..

Re: questions for those that know

Since you're asking about a supercharger I'm going to assume you have an N/A, but some more information about your car would be helpful.

If you want to stay emissions legal, you should get a high-flow catalytic converter and a nice catback of some sort. You can get a single outlet catback to save some weight, but personally I prefer the dual outlet. I have the Bönez 2.25" Double Cat System which can easily be replaced with the Bönez 2.5" Race Pipe with Presilencer for racing or if you just don't care about emissions. Behind that, I have the RP Performance Cat-back Exhaust . This whole setup cost me about $750 shipped and I am still emissions legal. The RP catback is quite a bit cheaper than all of the others, but it is still quite nice looking, and I am very happy with it.

First of all, a performance ignition is pretty much a waste of money because the stock ignition is quite strong to begin with. Rotary Performance (RX7.com) tells me that the Jacobs Rotary Pro Pak improves performance, but I don't know if it works as well as they say. I will get one one day, and I'll let everyone know what I think of it. It is, however, a good idea to get a new set of spark plug wires, preferrably thicker ones, to make sure you are delivering as much spark as you can from the stock ignition. RP sells Jacobs wires wires for $30, which is a pretty good deal. They're thicker than the stock wires, and about the same price if not cheaper.

There is at least one company that makes supercharger kits for the FC, but I'm not quite sure who they are at this point as it has changed hands a few times. SuperchargedRex would have the answer for you, take a look at his Web site.

I'm not sure how well the electric superchargers work, but they interest me, and I might try one some day. It's nice, because it is not necessarry to improve the fuel system with one of these.
