Questions about remote oil sourcing.

I read in a book titled street rotary that you could get an adapter then fit on the omp. that will seal the oil from the oil pan and allow you to use oil from another source like an oil tank. in theory you could run high end synthetic in the motor and made to injected and burnt 2 stroke oil. the part is about $90. i could use some like a washer bottle to store the oil. and buy a fuel gauge kit from autozone for a total less then $150. Has any one else tried this? i think it is a good medium for the to premix or not to premix debate.

It's a great idea, IMO, assuming your OMP is in good shape and tested functional (rebuilt would be great), you've replaced or 'rebuilt' the lines, and all your oil injectors test out fine.

You can also run synthetic oil without the adapter. Modern synthetics are not an issue.
