Alright so im am switching my 87 tii drivetrain and putting it in my 88 n/a. I am getting an FD fuel pump, the tii harness, and an hks manifold with a jdm turbo. So i am going to switch the intake manifolds, running tii injectors. Will there be any problems with this setup? I still probably need a fuel controller of some sort and the tii front cover, but how do i feed the oil to the turbo since the front iron is not the same?

Remember, 87 TII injectors are low impedence, 88 is high impedence. You can NOT use low impedence injectors with an ECU that is mapped out for high impedence. However, you can use high impedence injectors with a ECU mapped out for low impedence. But why would you wanna lol, high impedence (also known as "peak and hold") is better than low impedence injectors (also known as "saturated"). Tipacally, peak and hold injectors respond quicker.

Just use low impedance injecors and the ECU from an 87 TII, I'm sure you can find one for pretty cheap from sombody that is running a standalone. If you use low impedance on the 88 ECU it will burn it up, BuT, you CAN use high impedance on a 87 ECU... in other words:
You can use the injectors from a 88 in a 87, but you CANT use the injectors from a 87 in a 88. High impedance injetors are about 12-16 ohms, low impedance are about 2-5 ohms, jsut use a ohm meter on the injector to be sure if its high or low.

Guess it could depend if it was a leftover 87 sold as an 88 or if it was a true 88. I think the switch from low to high impedance was 87.5, something like that.

No. First there was no 86 TII they started in 87. Second, like I said, the switch from low to high was in 87.5 I believe. Example, I have an 88 GXL and it uses high impedance, but I think some of the very early 88's might have still used low impedance, however I am not 100% sure.

Man it so much longer to remove all the n/a stuff than the turbo stuff. Also I found somthing really weird in the sub-zero starting bottle 'ANTIFREEZE'. What the hell is antifreeze doing in there? Oh well. Is it necessary to drill and tap that one part on the engine? It already has like six other parts that are bolted to the engine.
