question on rb y-pipe fitment.
i just ordered a rb downpipe, presilencer and y-pipe. i was wondering if anyone knew if i have to make extentions to go from the y-pipe to the mufflers if i use universal mufflers?

As you mention dp, I'm assuming what you ordered is part of the turbo back system, then yes you'll need to have extensions made from the end of the "Y" to the mufflers. The turbo back Y is very short compared to the stock Y pipe. RB turbo back mufflers have very long pipes to connect to that Y pipe. If it's an N/A and it's the road race sytem, that too uses a short Y pipe I believe.

scheistermeister, you will have to go to the junkyard and get a muffler with that pipe on it, they were built in one piece. then saw the muffler off and then you will be able to bolt on an adaptor from 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 to go to the universal muffler. The Rb mufflers are a direct replacement for the stock ones, so you technically could use a stock y pipe with rb muffs.
