Question of the day.
Ok the other day I was on I4 (Interstate 4) here in Orlando, FL and I was driving at around 60-70 mph when I noticed that the car's temp went up to halfway, I quickly got out and stopped at a gas station because my car is normally at 1/4 hot, well I popped my hood open and looked and I saw that the belt that spins the alternator, clutch fan (yes my motor is stock
), and the water pump. I waited a bit and then drove the car slowly home, which was like 2 miles away (I think it was stupid of me) and there I switched out all three belts for better ones and then my uncle changed the water pump from another motor we had laying around. The car is running now but it runs right below the halfway point of the temp line. I've been wondering if I fucked something up like I dunno the apex seals or if its that the thermostat on the water pump we got from the other water pump opens at a later time than the other one. Im kind of new to the whole rotary thing so dont scold be too harshly.....

this might not be it but it is a cheep thing to check, for i had the same prob with my 86, check the radiator cap look at the rubber seel around it if it is cracked or dryrot it will be leting air into your system insted of water, but i would say try and change it anyways because sometimes it is cracks that you dont realy notice, hope you get it right.
