question about throttle cables?

hi, i was curious if there was any other way to adjust the throttle cables other than the screws on the cables themselves because now that i have done the throttle body mod the cables seem to be to long and i am almost to the end of the screws travel. any assistance would be appreciated, oh and every one who helped in the not running help thread thanks it was the intake manifold was siting on a wiring harnes and it wasn't sealing, and samps thanks for the info about the porting it realy makes a big difference i just can't get the full benifit until i get these cables correct.

thanks
james

I think there is another adjustment at the pedal. I may be wrong, but I swear I saw it on some sort of diagram. Not sure if it's only on some models or any at all for that matter. You could probably also do something with the bracket it sits on. Like bend it back a lil or try to fabricate some new mounting holes so the bracket moves back a half inch. Maybe just drill two new holes in the bracket right on the edge and that should give you like a 1/4 of an inch. There should be a small amount of slack in the line. Are you sure you have it wrapped around the throtle body mechanism correctly? You may have put it on the wrong hicka ma jiga thingy.

ya it's in there correctly per the fsm, come th think of it though the primary cable i could flip it to give some more room but i never took it off the cable so it has to be correct the primary is pretty good good pull full travel i am more concerned with the secondary cable i'm not getting FULL throttle it gets mushy when i floor it and i know it could be way faster, oh and dude that porting was awesome even with this prob. i can still feel a major diff. and no low end loss as far as i can tell when you said it would give a little somme soomme you were NOT kidding!
