Question about swapping seats into the back of a TII
When I get the TII I need to swap 2+2 seats into the back. I wont really use the storage bins and I need the extra seats (even though they are small as hell) for other passangers. Is a junkyard my only option or are there any places that sell the rear seats for cheap? I'm guessing buy them from Mazda will cost me more than I'm willing to spend (as does everything from the factory). Is it not a good idea to swap in seats in the back of a TII?

You can find the 2+2 seats anywhere. In fact, I'll bet some people would be willing to swap you for your storage bins. I had a back seat in my GXL and I hated it, I like the storage bins in my TII much better. Basically, all you need is the seat belts, the seat itself and the rear mounting brackets.
By the way, only midgets can sit comfortable in the back of an RX-7.

I loved my back seats. When they are down the floor space is larger then if you have the bins & the it's flat all the way to the back of the front seats. Plus they are handy if you need to shove a third person in. (not a forth though I'm 6ft so no leg room behind me.)

Or you could go to a Drag racing store and buy two fiberglass racing seats. They weigh like 5lbs. They would fit people better and they are actually comfortable because they hug the body perfectly. Thats what I was thinking of doing.
