I am wondering about a specific model rx-7. I found an 88 rx-7 GTUS for a good price. I just want to know what is different about the GTUS model. I would appreciate any information you can give me.
Thank You
Brian

The GTUS wasn't produced in 1988, or at least not in the USA. You should do a Carfax search to make sure that it's not some salvage car that someone pieced together.

If it turns out to be an 88 GTU, then it is the "performance" model of the non-turbo RX-7, with 15" alloy wheels, TII spoiler and aero kit, TII seats, 5-speed MT, LSD, variable-assist PS, sport-tuned suspension, and the "big" 4-piston brake kit. There were only a few options and accessories for the 88 GTU: AC, sunroof, cruise control, and stereo EQ.
Check out these sites before buying a car, and be sure to check the compression - this could save you from a $2,000-3,000 engine rebuild.
