Question about running alcohol for emissions tests

Ok I did a few searches on this and didnt get much response. I found one post taht says its kills all the rubber lines it goes through while another said its not good to run in a T2, which I have. What is the concensus? Im going to try and pass with an airpump onto the cat and a leaned out mixture through the SAFC first but if I dont pass I may resort to alcohol, is this a bad idea?

Just don't boost while your on it.. and it won't damage the rubber lines as it will only be on for 30 minutes tops.. just refill right after your done.

Yep, ethanol and particularly methanol are bad for a fuel system. However, just dump in the alcohol on a near empty tank and immediately drive to your emissions station. Immediately afterwards fill her up to dilute the alcohol and you'll be ok.
