Question about rotor housing thickness

I am rebuilding a series 5 NA engine and when I measure the thickness of the rotor housings they are out of spec according to the FSM... one of them WAY out of spec. The engine blew coolant seals in both rotors. I don't know if this caused the variation in the housing thickness or if the variation on housing thickness caused the coolant seals to get cooked. I really don't want to buy new housings but reliability is very important with this engine. I'm spending good money on other parts and I don't want to break this engine.

One of the housings has a variation of thickness of about .006 and the other has a variation of about .015. Mazda allows for .0024. I think my housings are finished and its a shame because the chrome is in fair shape.
